This is a wonderful vintage Japanese kusuribako/medicine box. It includes rarely found empty vintage medicine packets with interesting, colorful graphics, along with what appears to be a local area newsletter in Japanese.<br><br>The bottom is wood and the rest of the box is heavy cardboard covered in paper.<br><br>1 drawer with metal handle.<br>Box measures 6.75 x 7.75 inches<br><br>In good condition for its age. The box has dirt, dust, wrinkles/ripples in the paper, marks, and some edge wear which are due to age and use. Please examine all photos as they are part of the description.<br><br>Kusuribako or medicine boxes were common items in Japanese homes. They contained a variety of medicines. Every few months, a salesman would take inventory of your box, and restock as needed, and present the owner with a bill for supplies used. <br><br>Nice example of medical memorabilia. Perfect gift for those in the medical field.<br><br>Purchased by me when I lived in Japan.<br><br>From smoke free, pet free home.
